Ahhh I can’t believe it! We’re going to have a boy!! SO many people guessed that it was going to be a boy, that we both thought maybe it was going to be a girl, but neither Matt or I really had any “feelings” about what it would be. Matt kept asking me what I felt, but I really had no idea.

When we found out we’d know the gender before our trip to Hawaii, we knew we wanted to have a little mini gender reveal with my parents during our photos. We got the envelope from our doctor with a card that said the gender of our little baby. I knew the reveal couldn’t be something too elaborate, since I had to pack everything in my suit case, which is always right near (or slightly over) the 50# limit. We decided on some balloons that weigh basically nothing and a little outfit pre-wrapped from the store.

My mom and I took the envelope with us shopping for a little girl and little boy outfit. We’d give the store clerk the envelope and wrap the outfit that matches! Let me tell you - trying to find a blue and pink baby outfit at the same store is significantly harder than it should be!! We went to FOUR baby shops before finding one that had both! We wanted to keep the standard colors so they’d match our outfits and be obvious when we opened the gift. So many of these places had fall colors for the outfits, which were cute, but not what we were looking for. We finally found a lot of options at Oh Baby! in Edina! The girls outfit was a velvet and tulle dress and, as you can see, the boys outfit is a little velvet onesie and has a little sailboat icon in the upper corner with the cutest little collar!

We are so, so excited to meet our little boy in June! He’ll fit right in, in our household full of boys!

By the outfits below, I think maybe we both secretly knew it was going to be a boy. I had the perfect blue dress planned and Matt’s shirt has little blue sharks on it. Neither of us had great color-appropriate outfits if it were a girl!
